Welcome to Mary's Remedies Blog! I started this blog to write about what excites me in my life. I want to share with you my thoughts about things that are important to me. The first thing I wanted to do is to share how I came up with the name of Marysremedies for the name of my Etsy store. Normally, when people hear the word remedy, they think of Lotions, Potions and other medicines but not in this case.
For me, the name Remedy comes from Our Lady of Good Remedy. I fell in love with Our Lady of Good Remedy years ago. She has helped my family in many areas to find a remedy for all different kinds of needs. She is most known for her help for people in financial need. So, when my oldest child chose to go to a private college, I turned to Our Lady of Good Remedy for assistance and ideas to provide for college.
While in adoration, an idea came to us to start an arts and crafts store online. Knowing that I had asked Our Lady of Good Remedy for help, I wanted to name my store after her. And so, on October 15th, 2012 Marysremedies was born, not in a humble stable like her son was, but in our humble, little dining room.
